Alex Watkins

Kia Ora

I am Alexandra, a counsellor based here in Hamilton. I was born in Tauranga then moved to Whitianga when my parents split up and when I became old enough to decide what I wanted to do with my life, I knew that it was my role in life to assist people. Which is how I ended up here in Hamilton as a counsellor. Within my life I have also experienced hardships and struggles. One of which is assisting with my brother who has Asperger’s Syndrome, anxiety with OCD tendencies. This has been a journey but it has taught me that every child or young person who has an illness like this is unique and special. This is why I believe it is important to create ways of working to support them and their lives. This is also likewise with other issues that people struggle with, people are unique and I will create a way of working to suit you and your needs from me as your counsellor.

My academic achievements include -
- Certificate in Social Services
- Paetahi Tumu Korero (Bachelors of Counselling)
- Certificate in working with Autism
- Certificate in working with ADHD
- Certificate in responding to abuse
- Certificate in mindfulness
- Certificate in an introduction in working with FASD

Daniel Molesworth

I believe that my lived experience is as valuable to my work as the lessons from my study, and I apply what I have learned from both in the counselling room to offer help to those who ask for it.

I have a Bachelors in Applied Social Sciences, with a major in Counselling, as well as a Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support.

I specialise in trauma and sexual abuse, and work well with Maori and the LGBTQI+ community, but keeping in mind this does not exclude anyone else, my client base is varied and I am open to taking on most clientele.

I prefer to work with adults rather than children or adolescents as it fits better with my counselling style.

I love reading, movies and music, and hanging out with my whanau.

Everyone deserves to feel supported and be treated with respect, especially when going through a difficult time.

I bring a love for life and people to my role and my wish is, that every New Zealander has access to the therapy that works for them, without having to worry about finances. It is my mission and passion to help others live an empowered life.

Kia ora my name is Kim

I live in rural Hamilton, loving life in the tranquility of the country. My family is important to me, having fun, enjoying my grandchildren and my favourite hangouts are the local cafes, where I love a great 'flat white'.

I am an ACC registered counsellor working with adults.

I value people and believe each person has the resources within for change, together with the power of relationship to heal, “sexual abuse happens in isolation and healing happens in relationship”. It is an honour and privilege to walk with you on your journey. Creating a collaborative approach for you to feel safe, accepted, listened to and supported.

"Inside Out" movie is a favourite for me. "Emotions", are our compass, lets validate and understand them and work with them, together on the journey of transformation.
