I am Alexandra, a counsellor based here in Hamilton. I was born in Tauranga then moved to Whitianga when my parents split up and when I became old enough to decide what I wanted to do with my life, I knew that it was my role in life to assist people. Which is how I ended up here in Hamilton as a counsellor. Within my life I have also experienced hardships and struggles. One of which is assisting with my brother who has Asperger’s Syndrome, anxiety with OCD tendencies. This has been a journey but it has taught me that every child or young person who has an illness like this is unique and special. This is why I believe it is important to create ways of working to support them and their lives. This is also likewise with other issues that people struggle with, people are unique and I will create a way of working to suit you and your needs from me as your counsellor.
